Welcome to Cuddle Stitch Crafts, where I am sharing my joy of crafting with yarn. I began crocheting on a whim in 2016. I started where most newbies did: scarves and beanies.

Admittedly, I fell off the crafting train for a couple of years, until 2019. I was expecting my first child and I was determined to make him some of everything to fill his room. It was at this time that I also decided I should start a small business and become a SAHM.

Reality hit; I had no idea where to begin. Depression hit; postpartum is rough, and those hormones are no joke. Covid hit; I was at a company considered essential that didn't shut down for several weeks. I fell off the train again, and got back on; rinse repeat. Over the next few years, I did some things here and there; mostly baby shower items for coworkers or scarves for myself.

How Did We Get Here?

Between late 2023 and early 2024, I thought it would be best to "niche down" and choose one topic to hone in on and make my crafting personality. I decided to focus on creating patterns and crafting handmade clothes and accessories for babies and toddlers. I wanted something more than dinosaurs and sharks for my sons. I decided to be "the voice" for moms-to-be, to provide a wider range of simple and stylish clothing options for little boys. I wanted to make unique pieces that stand out from the crowd. More than that, I also wanted to create a place where we can share our thoughts, ideas, and tips on all things baby and toddler-related. From nursery decor to parenting advice, I want a community where parents can find inspiration and support. What better place to do that than a blog?

What's Happening Now?

I've decided to un-niche myself. I like to make so many things; I have hundreds of patterns pinned, downloaded, or saved in some type of way. My husband has always been supportive; he says I should not limit myself to one thing, I need to expand my horizons. Cuddle Stitch Crafts started with a personal struggle, and it is growing and changing like most things in life. I am proud to be able to share my passion for crafting and creating with you. Thank you for joining me on this journey. I can't wait to see what the future holds for Cuddle Stitch Crafts, and I hope you'll be a part of it too. Stay tuned for more updates, inspiration, and handmade goodness!

With love, The Cuddle Stitch Crafts Team
