Actual and Factual
Let's start with the facts straight from their website!
This yarn is between a fingering and sock, or category 1 and category 2 thickness. The yarn is 100% cotton and is comprised of four individual threads, not fully twined together, that make up this thickness.
The yarn is 7.1oz/200g in weight and 875yds/800m in length. The recommended needles size is 3mm and the recommended hook size is 4mm. There are 40+ colorways available of this standard version. The color changes are subtle as you work through this cake. There is a solids line available to match these ombre-affected cakes; we'll discuss that another time.

My Experience
I have used the colorway Pink Sapphire to create a granny square blanket. It starts in the middle and grows out with color changes that shift gradually throughout the project. At times, I did split the threads of the yarn as they are loosely wound. On the Hobbii site you will find their quick tip to thread a bead through the starting end to help keep the threads together.
